Cable Johnson, Director and Head Coach of the Texas Fury Youth Baseball Club

Cable grew up as an Army Brat and moved all over the globe as the proud son of a US Army Officer. He graduated High School in Bad Kreuznach, West Germany and then graduated from Texas Christian University in 1995. He is married to Breck and has 2 amazing children (Carson & Xander).
After more than 20 years of service in the Arlington Police Department (APD), he retired as a Police Commander and now works as the Director of Security for a Professional Sports Franchise. He has received recognitions on numerous occasions from local, state, and federal agencies for outstanding service and meritorious actions.
During his time with the APD, he worked as a DARE officer for several years, worked with community leaders to develop and support youth initiatives, and volunteered in several groups throughout DFW.
Cable’s proudest accomplishments are garnered from time spent coaching youth sports. For the past 15 years, he has coached his children and hundreds of others in soccer, football, hockey, lacrosse, and baseball.
Cable created Texas Fury, Inc. as a non-profit opportunity to build a Select (AA) Baseball team that is composed of children 12 years and younger who will play in the Parks at Texas Star AA Baseball League as well as several tournaments throughout the region.
The Texas Fury is a volunteer-run, non-profit (501c3) organization that operates year-round to instill positive attributes far beyond baseball skills. While we certainly work on enhancing our beneficiaries’ athletic abilities, we also focus on developing them into good citizens, teaching sportsmanship, discipline, and alternatives to choices that could otherwise negatively impact their lives and/or this community.
